"WOW!....you are in a league of your own....do you realize how few black leather artists there are in this country? And not to mention black WOMEN!!!!! I cannot remember one black man that tooled leather seriously in Indy and I only have 4 black artists here in Ft. Worth and they are all men! And out of those 4 only one does what I call QUALITY work! Your work as it stands now equals three of theirs!" ...Laura Gutowsky, Leather Master (also my mentor)

The TRUTH About Leather
All leather is NOT created equal. Imperfections in leather are what make it unique. However, imperfections can be due to the age of the animal, bug bites, injuries, dyeing, scratches, stretching, or as a result of the leather-drying process, which are not necessarily inclusive.

"Southwest" is the Theme
Disclaimer:
All leather is NOT created equal. Please be aware that imperfections can be due to the age of the animal, bug bites, injuries, dyeing, scratches, stretching, leather-drying process and variables outside of my control. These imperfections can most likely be seen on leather items that have not been stained, painted or dyed.
It is my intent to deliver unique, finely handcrafted leather items of quality for your enjoyment.

It's in the BAG!
December 2010, I was commissioned to make a messenger bag with only a photograph as my inspiration. The messenger bag, which is shown, is the actual bag I handcrafted from 'scratch'.
Upon determining my strategy for bringing the bag to "life", I delivered the completed handcrafted leather messenger bag to my customer in time for his spring-semester classes in Janaury 2011.
The leather messenger bag has two compartments, one (the larger compartment) with the capacity to hold two large text books, and the smaller compartment, which will hold up to a 17" laptop computer. The adjustable strap has a 1-1/2" brass buckle, with solid brass rivets and hardware, which complement the appearance and reinforce the durability of the bag.
